Dedicated to the study of DNA replication and the maintenance of genome stability, processes that are intrinsically linked to the cell cycle and cell division. This issue will focus on mechanisms that ensure proper DNA replication including licensing and replication machineries as well as cell cycle dynamics and genomic instability. The latter is now considered to play a key role in carcinogenesis.
Topics include but are not limited to:
- Genomic instability in precancerous and cancer cells
- DNA replication
- Replication licensing
- DNA damage response
- Chromosomal instability
- DNA repair pathways
- p53 signaling
- Cell cycle checkpoints
