Dr. Rohlff received his Ph.D. from the Department of Pharmacology at Georgetown University in 1994. After two appointments at the National Cancer Institute he joined Oxford GlycoSciences and was appointed Director of Proteome Research Collaborations in 2001. As manager of the Proteomics Division's commercial collaborations he gained expertise in the implementation of clinical proteomics programmes to identify novel therapeutic protein targets and protein biomarkers with many pharmaceutical companies and academic partners, including Pfizer, GSK, Bayer, Wyeth, Takeda, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Oxford University and the FDA. These studies have investigated many disease areas including Alzheimer's disease, arteriosclerosis, dermal ulcers, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, various metabolic, inflammatory and neuropsychiatric disorders, toxicology, and oncology. Dr Rohlff co-authored over 20 protein patents originating from these studies. Dr. Rohlff is the founder of Oxford Genome Sciences.
Dr. Rohlff is also a founding member on the board of the South East Health Technologies Alliance (SEHTA), whose mission it is to catalyse innovation and international competitiveness in south east England's health technologies sector.
Martin Barnes, D.Phil

Prior to joining Oxford Genome Sciences in September 2004, Dr Barnes spent 9 years working as an IT consultant for a software services company specialising in providing IT services to the science and engineering industries. This role included systems analysis and implementation, application development, database administration, project management and line management. Martin has been involved in all areas of the IT project lifecycle - from initial requirements, analysis and feasibility studies through to roll-out and subsequent support.

Martin has also been involved in IT process improvement and has written and presented training courses. This work included five and a half years in the pharmaceutical industry, three and a half years of which were at Oxford GlycoSciences as a consultant for up to 40 other IT staff.

Jeff Warren

Jeff Warren, Non-Executive Director
Mr Warren has around 30 years financial management experience, including high level corporate governance and regulatory environment experience, having served as a Finance Director and CEO in the UK Financial Services industry.

As a qualified and highly experienced accountant, Jeff has a strong history and track record of success in the financial services industry. He held the post of CFO of Bristol and West Building Society from 1992. Following the acquisition of Bristol and West by Bank of Ireland, he was appointed CEO of Bristol and West PLC in 1999, and subsequently also given responsibility for the Bank of Ireland UK Branch network. In 2003 he moved to take on a role at Group level in Dublin, as Group Chief Development Officer, reporting to the Bank of Ireland CEO. In 2004 he returned to the UK to develop a career as a non-executive director.

Eliot R. Forster, Ph.D.

Eliot was born in the North East of England and has lived and worked in both the UK and USA.

He is a graduate from the University of Liverpool, where he gained a BSc and Ph.D. in Neurophysiology and has an MBA from Henley Management College.

Eliot is currently CEO of Solace Pharma and has worked at both Glaxo and Pfizer across a broad range of functions in the pharmaceutical development arena. Eliot held the role of VP, Site Head of Development and Head of Development Operations EU and Asia for Pfizer. Eliot is a board director of a health consortium under the SEEDA umbrella. He also works with universities in support of their enterprise activities.

Christopher Hibberd

Christopher Hibberd has over 15 years of experience in business strategy and corporate development. He is currently working as CEO of Astute Medical, Inc. and prior to that worked for 10 years at Biosite Inc., as SVP Corporate Development, where he was responsible for the identification and pursuit of strategic business opportunities including mergers, acquisitions, partnerships and alliances as well as for developing long-range strategic plans. Prior to joining Biosite Inc., he was manager at the Boston Consulting Group and was responsible for leading international consultants and client case teams in developing and implementing value-creating strategies for businesses in a variety of industry sectors. Prior to that he held consulting positions at various companies and also was a development engineer for Albright & Wilson Americas from 1987 to 1990.

He received a chemical engineering degree from the University of Toronto, Canada and earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Western Ontario, Canada
