US Opportunities
Molecular and Cellular Biologists
OGeS is seeking to expand its capabilities in the development of novel therapeutics to treat Cancer and is recruiting
for several exciting positions based at new facilities in San Jose, California. The successful candidate(s) will be
responsible for characterizing targets and antibodies for utility as cancer therapeutics. These are laboratory-based
positions requiring significant bench time in molecular & cellular biology.
You should hold at least a first degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related subject, with demonstrable
experience in cell and molecular biology. Preferred skills include antibody engineering, cell culture, FACS, cell based
assays, and general molecular biology. Prior experience in a dynamic, commercial research environment would be an advantage.
Candidates should be computer literate, highly organized, and aware of current developments in Oncology therapeutics.
UK Opportunities
Head of Biomarker Services
We are looking for an individual with excellent leadership qualities and extensive experience in the field of biomarker
discovery to lead a biomarker discovery team in a variety of areas – notably oncology and safety/toxicology. You will
participate in developing and rolling out our commercial strategy and fostering long-term commercial relationships.
First hand knowledge of comparative proteomic biomarker discovery approaches utilized by pharmaceutical and diagnostic
industries. Direct experience in the oncology area would obviously be an advantage.
Operations and Research Biochemists/ Chemists
We are looking for team-orientated biochemists or chemists to join our discovery teams
identifying biomarkers and novel drug targets. You will be involved in the isolation &
identification of proteins using both separation techniques & mass spectrometric methods.
This is an opportunity to take part in the application and development of cutting edge
proteomics methodologies and contribute to the success of the Company.
You should hold a BSc or similar qualification in chemical or biological sciences.
Although training will be provided, excellent general laboratory skills are essential,
coupled with a willingness to learn new techniques. In addition, experience of protein
chemistry, protein digestion or mass spectrometry would be an advantage.
